A Giant in and Out of the Ring

In the WWF, Tenta was known for his powerful moves and his signature "Earthquake Splash." He feuded with some of the biggest names in wrestling, including Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and The Ultimate Warrior. Tenta also competed in sumo wrestling, achieving the rank of maegashira.

After retiring from wrestling, Tenta opened a wrestling school in Florida. However, his business plans were cut short when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Tenta passed away on June 7, 2006, at the age of 43. He is remembered as one of the most colorful and charismatic wrestlers of his era.

Tenta's legacy extends beyond his wrestling career. He was a pioneer for wrestlers of all sizes, proving that even the biggest guys could be successful in the business. His death was a loss to the wrestling community and to the world of sports entertainment.
