Early Life and Education
Rishi Sunak was born on May 12, 1980, in Southampton, England.
He attended Winchester College, a prestigious boarding school, and then went on to study philosophy, politics, and economics at Lincoln College, Oxford.
Political Career
Sunak was elected to Parliament in 2015, representing the constituency of Richmond (Yorks).
He served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Local Government from 2018 to 2019, and as Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2019 to 2020.
Chancellor of the Exchequer
In February 2020, Sunak was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer.
