Contempt Resolution Heads To House Floor

Meadows Testifies in Georgia Court, Faces Contempt Vote

Contempt Resolution Heads to House Floor

Ex-Trump Chief of Staff Accused of Election Interference

A federal courtroom in Georgia hosted the testimony of Mark Meadows, the former White House chief of staff for former President Donald Trump, on Monday. Meadows is charged with 18 others in an attempt to overturn the state's 2020 election results.

Meanwhile, a House committee voted to hold Meadows in contempt of Congress. The resolution will now move to the House floor for a vote. Meadows has been subpoenaed by the committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riot, but has refused to cooperate.

Separately, Meadows is also involved in an ongoing legal battle. An appeals court is currently hearing arguments related to his efforts to move his Georgia election interference case into federal court. Meadows has previously attempted to move the case to federal court, but his request was denied by a district court judge.

The testimony in the Georgia courtroom revealed Meadows's involvement in questioning the 2020 election results. This testimony could have implications for the House committee's investigation into the Capitol riot.
